Apple-Nut Bread Pudding

Got this from a 'Taste of Home" slow-cooker cookbook I stole from my sister.  This was my first try with bread pudding, and it was delicious.

8 slices raisin bread, cubed
2 medium tart apples peeeled and sliced
1 c chopped pecans toasted
1 c sugar
1 1/2 tsp apple pie spice (or 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg)
3 eggs lightly beaten
2 c half and half
1/4 c apple juice
1/4 c butter, melted

Place bread cubes, apples and pecans in a greased slow cooker.  In a bowl combine the sugar, and spices.  Add the eggs, cream, apple juice and butter.  MIx well. Pour over the bread mixture.
Cover and cook on low for 304 hours, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.  Serve with ice cream.
